But it wouldn’t work if we maintained at only 3 members…That’s what CCA open house is for! We pulled in members, and gladly, there were GUYS (yes we’re in need of them in our ensemble) who joined the 2nd batch! And so we reached the minimum requirement for SYF, of 16 people.
But that didn’t last long…people come and go as part and parcel of life. As a result, when I went in as the 3rd batch, there were only 8 left, with none from the 1st batch. Hah so TGE was set up in 1999 with no founder member that stayed throughout…sad case. The founders are no where to be found (ie i don't recognise them at all)…Then more people left as they transferred school, went back to their home country etc…leaving only 4 from 2nd batch that participated in SYF 2003.
We continued for several years with just 16 performing members…The picture below was taken in SYF 2005.
Of course, we were vulnerable to internal conflicts, but our hard work and common goal of achieving Gold in SYF as well as gaining recognition in school kept our relationship with one another very strong. We got yet another Gold in SYF 2007. And that was also the year that we added percussion in our performance. It definitely liven up the whole performance as well as everyone’s spirits. 
Life is not just about competitions =) We also hold outdoor performances like those in the parade square during Mid-Autumn festival (held outdoor to 赏月), at shopping centers like West Mall and Jurong Entertainment Centre and very recently, we performed at the Expo for the Asia-Pacific Food Fair as well as at Sentosa!
